Game Review & Description: I was playing this on my laptop, which really couldn't handle anything other than the studio. In the rooftop and underground I found my PC too unresponsive. So Point No.1 - you need a desktop to play AND one with plenty of graphics and processing power. OK, that over with, it is SO MUCH better than Arenas Of Destruction and more realistic (to a point). I agree with many points already made that the house robots are too fast especially Sir Killalot. Yes, it is great fun too when they go up in the air, but COME ON!! Only Chaos 2 could flip a house robot!! And it is daft when the house robots drive into the pit - they would NEVER DO THAT!! I even managed to immobilise Dead Metal by flipping him with Wheely Big Cheese. So that is a questionable point. Related to this, and maybe this is because I was playing at the standard level, many of the top well-known robots are pretty sub-standard in this game. Razer, for example, can grip you but then you can then just drag him around. Chaos 2 seems slower than normal sometimes. Tornado is the old style Tornado, not the Series 6 winner version. But this is a 2002 game. Right, that's my gripes out the way. I can now say how much I LOVE THIS GAME!!!!! Absolutely BRILLIANT FUN!!! Building your own robot and progressing up the Stages is fantastic. By the way, stick with the dome shape or wedge shape. The battles are GREAT!!! Just what you need after a hard day's slog!!! Not many sound effects other than the music and extreme commentary from Jonathan Pearce. In fact, he does everything, the countdown 3..2..1..activate, CEASE, ROBOTEERS STANDBY and the final result. Could have had the studio voiceover too I think just for completeness. Overall then, a great game, but a bit of fine-tuning on what I've mentioned could make this the ULTIMATE ROBOT BATTLE. Oh, and you have to like the TV series to play it of course. But why buy it otherwise???
