Game Review & Description: The platform game is one of the most noticeably transformed genres since its creation in the late seventies. With revolutionary arcade title, Super Mario Brothers, Shigerus Miyamotos creations soon made Nintendo the industry leader. Many software houses have attempted to beat the likes of Super Mario 64, but with little success. Infogrames are latest company to make this bold attempt with the help of Warner Brother and the Loony Toons franchise. Similar to Banjo-Kazooie, Bugs and Taz involves these two characters making a co-operative effort; a strange combination. In a nutshell, each of the characters must use their unique abilities together to achieve the same goal. Game structure is also quite standardised, using a main area that eventually leads into other locations within the game. There is plenty of collecting to be done here, with certain areas of the game requiring thousands of gears (the collectable items) for entry. A compulsory training level has been put into place, helping you to practically use each characters skills. Once you go into the game proper you will come across as many as thirty levels, spread across four unique locations. Environments range from Aztec, Viking, and even Arabian Nights. Bugs and Taz isnt the ground braking title some people though it might be, but there is a polished game structure, a clever 2-player co-operative mode, and some lovely animations, making for an above average title.
